Provide calculations, detailed analysis, presentations and associated recommendations emanating from any and all queries that arise as a result of changes in business operations, the economic climate or potentially might offer more profitable solutions.Ensure findings from BOM audits are clearly reported & executed with relevant approval.Ĭommercial Insight and Technical Expertise.On a quarterly basis BOM audits will be performed with the broader operations team and needs to be facilitated by this function.Ensure the team is always available for factory trials to enable accurate costings.Share relevant data with senior management teams to enable reliable business decision making.Development of a central business performance and tracking platform, through innovative reporting tools and business analytics.Identify opportunities for value added reporting to improve the quality and content of reporting and message management.Drive enhanced business profitability and performance information designed to unlock margin opportunities and influence improved contributions.Profitability & Business Analytics, Information and Data Management Ensure all BOM changes are supported by an audit trial.Monitor, review and provide feedback on the actual impact of changes that have been made and new product costing as part of the “post launch” process.Calculate and implement any approved changes to product costing, clearly outlining the impact of such changes on the cost base and ultimately, profitability.Load new BOM’s for trial codes requested from Master Data.Maintain the integrity and support proper execution of the NPD approval process for BOM changes/additions.Review and provide insight into proposed changes to product costs (as a result of trials or change in specifications) and new product proposals.Support initiatives designed to control costs and maximize profitability.Develop, oversee and drive momentum of continuous BOM and routing audit processes to be conducted by Processing and Ops resources.Maintain product costing system (MACS).Ensure all costings is in a library where only one version can be accessed by the teams (i.e manage versions).Partner with New Product Develop, Operations and Sales teams to ensure all parties understand the commercial impact of relevant costing.Ensure costing template used is updated, relevant and relevant (i.e accurate recipes, costs).Ensure costings going to the customer/sales team is accurate.Through the costing team deliver on the following: Excellent knowledge of FMCG or manufacturing or complex plant experience required.Minimum of 3-5 years operational cost and management accounting experience, including commercial costing.B.Com Accounting/Management Accounting (non-negotiable).The Management Accountant will be dealing with key issues in providing support and technical input to the commercial, sales and NPD teams to deliver insightful analysis. Provide commercial support and insights to the Commercial Management of the Speciality operating unit, through effective management of costings and profitability. The Management Accountant will assist with the effective running of the costing department and monitor all activities that have a cost implication. The role requires an analytical individual with commercial and operations experience. The role will be based in Centurion and will report to the Commercial Executive.
